In addition to volunteering, memberships can be purchased to help support the organization and keep updated on H.A.T.S. news and events. Please contact H.A.T.S. for more information on memberships (see below).

Fundraising

In addition to smaller fundraisers such as barbeques throughout the year, H.A.T.S. runs a few major fundraisers and welcomes others to host fundraisers or assist with their present fundraisers.
H.A.T.S.' largest fundraiser is their spring Celebration of H.A.T.S., housed at Hernder Estate Winery. In the fall, H.A.T.S. has a Ride & Walk A Thon, where funds are raised through pledges. Finally, each November/December, H.A.T.S. has a major Poinsettia sale.

Donations

H.A.T.S. is a registered non-profit charity and does issue tax receipts. For convenience, the H.A.T.S. website has a "Donate Now" link, which will take you to the Canada Helps website, which will take a credit card donation and issue a tax receipt.
For large donations, H.A.T.S. has a number of sponsorship packages. Sponsorship, depending on the level, results in various advertising benefits for the sponsor.

Volunteer

Pursuant to Ontario Law, the only requirement for volunteers is that they be atleast fourteen years of age. If you are generally in good physical health, you can volunteer as a sidewalker (assisting the rider) or as a leader (leading the horse). Volunteers can also groom and tack/untack the horses prior to, and after the lessons. Volunteers are welcome to assist in projects/events.
Prior horse experience is NOT required to volunteer with H.A.T.S., as H.A.T.S. will provide all the training you need.
